The C.R.A.A.P. test can help you remember steps to use when evaluating information:
C urrency - When was the information published? Is it recent or too old/out of date?
R elevance - Does information help answer your question?
A uthority - Who wrote the information? What are their qualifications?
A ccuracy - Is the information reliable, truthful, and correct? Can the information be verified?
P urpose - Why has the information been written? To educate, entertain or sell a product or idea?
